Félix Valdelièvre likes to play with contradictions in his art:
 Giving lightness to a supposedly heavy material
 Creating movement in rigidity
 Exploiting the technical properties of iron to create “stable imbalances”
 Working with patinas to create confusion about the material of his works
 The artist considers the oblong shape to be a primordial form, just like the sphere or the cube. It has been the common thread of his artistic approach for the past ten years.
