Félix N°3 by Félix VALDELIÉVRE
Félix Valdelièvre likes to play with contradictions in his art:
- Giving lightness to a supposedly heavy material
- Creating movement in rigidity
- Exploiting the technical properties of iron to create “stable imbalances”
- Working with patinas to create confusion about the material of his works
The artist considers the oblong shape to be a primordial form, like the sphere or the cube. It has been the common thread of his artistic approach for the past ten years.
